Hamilton Sub Aqua Club was formed in 1956 and, although we are the 2nd oldest branch of the Scottish Sub Aqua Club, that doesn't mean we are stuck in our ways. Our committee is constantly in touch with Head Office and regularly putting new Branch Instructors through the courses. At present we have a membership of nearly 30 and dive several times a week, both shore dives and using the club RIB. This year we have trips organised to the Garvallachs, the Sound of Mull, The Firth of Forth, St. Abbs, the Farne Islands and, as ever, we are open to suggestions. The club is based at Sir Matt Busby Leisure Centre in Main Street Bellshill, and we meet every Thursday night 9pm-10pm.

Dive Locations

We can be found most weeks diving great sites on the west coast, with Loch Fyne, Loch Long and Loch Leven being our most frequented, as well as taking regular trips to east coast sites such as St. Abbs and the Farne Islands. The club has its own RIB which is usually kept at Largs Marina, allowing us to dive the Firth of Clyde and out to sites around Millport, Cumbrae and Little Cumbrae. The Sound of Mull and the Garvellachs are also club favourites, and we organise these trips every year. As a club we have dived some of the worlds most famous sites, including Scapa Flow, and our collective experience leaves few places that Hamilton ScotSAC members have yet to venture.
